Howdy Pardners,

After a long winter silence the Badlands and Buffalo Gap are bursting with spring activity.  Plenty of moisture is making the prairies burst with green and gold as the grass greets the sun and spring rains and prairie flowers add their joy to the scene.  Calving is nearly over and the prairie is alive with young.

Over winter, Oley remodeled the Lodge at Buffalo Gap so now the dining room is 100% smoke free and the lounge continues its traditional operation.  Though you see us here still in the clean up phase, we are now in full operation and ready to go.  It gives a whole new feeling to the Buffalo Gap that you will enjoy.

In the last week of April, Lee and Sandy Greenly of Minnesota Wildlife Connection led their annual photo safari to Buffalo Gap accompanied by Professional wildlife photographer and author Michael Francis.  Lee and his assistant, Dillon, led the safari into a variety of picturesque habitat to photograph a variety of wildlife from badgers and wolves to mountain lions. Lee has been in business for 15 years and in that time has developed an outstanding rapport with wild animals and people.

Thank you Lee, for letting us enjoy your visit and activity.
